Miss Garifuna
Miss Garifuna is an annual event in which young women demonstrate their cultural skills and poise, in other words, what it means to be a Garifuna woman. They do this through singing, dancing and introducing themselves in the Garifuna language. The winner gets airfare to Honduras to participate in Garifuna Heritage Months events.
