Little Houses Local Premiere
Be a part of the local premiere for the short documentary "Little Houses" at the historic Rice Theater in Crowley, Louisiana.
"Little Houses" is the story of three mysterious, wooden grave houses that stand in the Istre Cemetery in Mermentau Cove, Louisiana. While there were at time over forty houses, these last three remaining houses are all that's left of a forgotten burial tradition â echoing the importance of preserving cultural identity.
Tickets include the premier showing, reception at Crowley City Hall and attendance at the historic register plaque dedication at the Istre Cemetery on the morning of May 2nd. Purchase tickets for only $12 online or $15 at the door. The premier is underwritten in part by Butler & Co. Tree and Stump Service.
Save the Grave Houses: Proceeds from ticket purchases promote awareness of this unique phenomena worldwide, plus, your purchase funds the first-ever restoration effort of the last three remaining grave houses. "Little Houses" is a production of BENEFILMS, a nonprofit committed to making a better world through films that raise awareness and inspire action.
