The promise of the future can be captured in a single incredible culinary adventure that will leave a distinct impression on your mind and palette long after your last bite. The 3rd Annual Farm to Feast Dinner and Auction will take place on Summerfield Waldorf School's 15-acre Biodynamic farm. Award-winning chef Traci Des Jardins of Jardinere, Acme Chophouse, and Mijita will be leading a team of renowned chefs, Duskie Estes and John Stewart of Sonoma County's Zazu and Bovolo, and Master Pastry Chef, Jean Yves Charon of Galaxy Desserts. Note: About Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm:
Located on a 32-acre campus, with 15 acres farmed biodynamically for 30 years, in rural Santa Rosa. Acting on the conviction that land should be held in a ecologically conscious manner, Summerfield entered into a partnership with Turtle Island Earth Stewardship Society, The Tides Foundation and Sonoma County Land Trust to keep the farm and school land in a perpetual agricultural and wildlife trust.
In addition to an education which is steeped in the practical and fine arts, students in kindergarten through twelfth grade participate in the daily rhythm of the farm- gathering eggs, turning compost piles, caring for animals and planting gardens. This helps children gain an awareness of their connection to and responsibility for the land they farm, the food they eat, and the world they inhabit.
