Shakespear-ience: An Evening of Romance, Murder and Intrigue
6:00 to 9:30 pm Activities and Music
6:30 pm Performance Tour #1
8:00 pm Performance Tour #2
Adult-themed performances based on "Romeo and Juliet," "The Tempest," "Othello," and "Macbeth" will take the audience through East Liberty Presbyterian Church on "performance tours" featuring monologues and scenes, opera, dance and stage combat, with our own strolling minstrels, The Band of Misfits, leading the way.
There will be two tours, one at 6:30 pm and one at 8:00 pm; with activities in the social hall all evening long - so come early, or stay late, to meet, mingle and make things. Magic Organs art squad, DS Kinsel and Julie Mallis, will live paint; Joe Kennedy, of DJ duo Tracksploitation, will spin and remix some Shakespeare inspired tunes; and there will be art-making for the adults, too! Keep checking back for additional artists and activities.
FREE TICKETS - RSPV
All events are FREE, and charitable contributions will be gratefully accepted, to help pay the artists, musicians, actors and storytellers who are helping to make this birthday party a bash.
Reserve your spot for the afternoon birthday party and/or one of the two evening performance tours now! (tickets will be limited).
