Description
IN SEARCH OF BENE ISRAEL (short): Sadia Shephard spent her Fulbright year with an old hand-drawn map and her grandmother's family tree, unraveling the mysteries of her Nana's past while discovering her Indian Jewish ancestors.

FLIPPING OUT:  The Himalayan foothills provide refuge for Israeli youth, who after mandatory military service go to India and "flip out." A powerful but unsettling picture of sanctioned escapism and collective numbing-out.
