Shutter Tours has created a unique and fun Seattle tour, educating you about Seattle along with photography "mini lessons" to help you become a better travel photographer. Our skilled guides teach lessons in composition designed to help you see better and take better photos, without all the technical jargon. A city tour which also includes some out of the way surprises that you might ordinarily miss on your Seattle visit.

Our guides are accomplished, award winning photographers along with being seasoned travelers, who will help to create a most memorable Seattle visit for you and your traveling partners.

An interactive walking tour that takes you to locations where you can create your own iconic Seattle photographs. We limited group sizes to 8 or less adults to ensure a quality, interactive tour, with a trusted company and knowledgeable staff.

You'll experience areas like the Pike Place Market including the more than 100 vendors, "Flying Fish" (Yeah, you've gotta see it to believe it), and the varied musicians and vendors that make this area a photographer paradise. We also tour through some of the lesser know areas that offer fantastic photo opportunities with historical narratives. Unlike other tours, we give you ample time to create those great photographs and help you with getting to the right location, composition and giving you feedback throughout the tour. Our itinerary ensures adequate time spent at each location allowing individual feedback and suggestions from our guides. We've done all the work and planning, so you can spend your time having a positive experience.

As you know Seattle gets lots of rain (less than New York, however), so our tour changes based on the weather to ensure a good experience.

Note: Advance reservations are required, but please call 425-516-8838 for info on possible openings on day of tour. Starting times are 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, meeting at the Pike Place Market Information Booth just in front of the large market clock. Look for our tour guide wearing the bright yellow Shutter Tours jacket or shirt. Please call 425-516-8838 if you are unable to find the location or for more information. Restrooms are available within close proximity of the tour. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before tour begins. You are required to bring your own camera for tour. Tours are held rain or shine. You should dress appropriately for the day's weather conditions. Cold temperatures come off the Puget Sound and can make for a chilly walk. Children under 10 are free and are provided a free disposable film camera so they can enjoy the tour. Please be aware, however, this tour includes inclines and some stairs that may make it difficult for younger children. The use of strollers can be difficult due to narrow market pathways congestion and steps and are not allowed on the tour. The use of recording devices such as tape, audio and video cameras are not allowed. Shutter Tours, LLC cannot be held liable when photographic subjects described in our literature, our website, or orally, do not become available for photography during the tour due to events or weather beyond our control. We further cannot be held liable for weather which may make photography difficult or impossible. Tour participants are responsible for their own personal safety. Price of each ticket is $39.00 plus a 5% Seattle Admissions Tax of $1.95. We pay all ticket handling fees :)
