LEMONY SNICKET and LISA BROWN: 29 Myths on the Swinster Pharmacy
The Booksmith
San Francisco, CA
Share this event:

We are very curious about the Swinster Pharmacy. We stay up late every night wondering what sort of eerie secrets it contains. Why are there three styrofoam heads in the windows? Who is the owner? Is it really closed on weekends? Renowned investigator Lemony Snicket has compiled 29 myths about this bewildering establishment, in the vain hope that he could help us shine some light on this enduring mystery.

Lemony Snicket had an unusual education and a perplexing youth and now endures a despondent adulthood. His previous accounts and research have been collected and published as books, including those in A Series of Unfortunate Events, 13 Words, The Composer Is Dead., and his new series, All The Wrong Questions. He frequently stays up late, worrying about some of his books.

Lisa Brown is the bestselling author and/or illustrator of a growing number of books for children, teens and new parents, including How to Be, The Latke Who Couldn't Stop Screaming, and Baby Mix Me a Drink. Her 3 Panel Book Review cartoon ran in the book section of the San Francisco Chronicle. Lisa lives in San Francisco with her son and her husband, who is rumored to be Lemony Snicket. She has been known to stay up even later than Mr.Snicket, which is why she is associated with such books as Vampire Boy's Good Night, Picture The Dead, and other books that leave dark circles around her eyes.

To properly celebrate, there will be Ice Cream Bar's Melancholy Sour Phosphate for everyone who purchases a copy of 29 Myths at The Booksmith this afternoon.

$5 ticket admits one to the event for priority seating beginning at 2:15 -- preferred seating on a first come first served basis, you are not guaranteed a seat.  Any avaiable seats will be released 10 minutes prior to start.

Your tickets are ALSO good for $5 off an instore purchase of 29 Myths on the Swinster Pharmacy at The Booksmith today or up to 3/23/14. (Note: multiple tickets can combine!)
