Start your 2014 season in style with our Ice Karting event at Absolutely Ice in Slough. It's karting - but on an ice rink!

This is the event for you if you've ever wanted to hone your loose grip handling skills and instead of going all the way to chilly sweden and getting eaten by a rabid elk* you can stay here in sunny** Britain and race around in specially modified BIZ karts. Each one with a de-restricted Honda engine and the best bit - tyres with METAL SPIKES on them!

We have a maximum field of 30 - Here's how it's going to work, 6 drivers at a time will line up for a series of heats. Fastest 6 will then fill the A final, next 6 the B final etc. until everyone has had 2 drives. An Ice Grand Prix, if you will.

Racing will start at 12:00 on the 29th but, this is the important bit, everyone must be at Absolutely Ice by 11:30. Come down early for a tweet-up or even a meet up!

And so you can point and laugh at yourselves spinning around on the ice afterwards, Overdrive will be filming the whole event which will be broadcast on our youtube channel.

Tickets are £40 per driver, and that will include at least £5 going to KartForce - you can find out more about them here : www.kartforce.org

It promises to be a very "cool" way to start the new year!

Just so you know : As mentioned above this event will be filmed and shown on www.youtube.com/overdrivemotorsport and www.overdrive-uk.com - buying a ticket will signify you consent to being filmed and your image broadcast. If you have an objection to this, please let the production crew know as soon as possible and we will try and accomodate you. Please also note that any spectators are also likely to appear on camera and their attendance signifies their consent to be filmed.

*Rabid Elks may not exist and/or live in Sweden.
