Composers, Inc. - 30th Anniversary Season
On Tuesday, February 11 we present a concert of an under-appreciated art form, contemporary music for organ with Jonathan Dimmock, a prominent artist in the Bay Area and world-wide. He is organist of St. Ignatius Church (San Francisco), interim director of the Grace Cathedral Camerata, organist for the San Francisco Symphony, and director of Artists' Vocal Ensemble. Joined by several instrumentalists, he will perform works by Jennifer Higdon, Mason Bates, David Conte, David Samson, and C. Michael Reese.

Our concert Tuesday, March 11 features our two winners of the 2013 Suzanne and Lee Ettelson Award, Justin Dello Joio and Martin Kennedy; Diviraag by Asha Srinavassan; the late Elliott Carter's Caténaires, performed by beloved Bay Area pianist Lino Rivera; and the world premiere of Robert Greenberg's Invasive Species, performed by the Alexander String Quartet and famed Australian pianist Roger Woodward.

Tuesday, April 29 will be our first annual Bay Area Modern Music (!BAMM!) concert, featuring up-and-coming as well as established composers of the Bay Area, and new names as well as familiar ones among the performers: the Friction Quartet, the Mobius Trio, the Living Earth Show, the Young Women's Chorus, and flutist Meerenai Shim with Mathew Joseph Payne on modified Gameboy and amplifier. Composers Dan Becker, Gabriela Lena Frank, Brendon Randall-Meyers, Nicholas Vasallo, Mathew Joseph Payne, Winton Winchiro-White, and Frank La Rocca will be in attendance.
