W.H.I.P.S. (Women Helping Investigate Pittsburgh Sexuality) Present a V-Day Event:

THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES!

Pittsburgh's only all BDSM/Leather/Kink cast is back again for our 3rd Annual performance of The Vagina Monologues!

Come experience this breakthrough work by Eve Ensler! If it's your first time, we welcome you to bond with us. If you've seen it before, we welcome you back.

This performance is a safe space to explore what it means to be a woman in various generations, locations and times. It's a chance to share our collective experience and struggle so that we can all emerge renewed, energized and connected.

We also acknowledge the very real fact that sexual assault does NOT discriminate along gender lines. We welcome and invite anyone of any gender who has survived sexual assault and violence into our safe space. We encourage you also to experience the empowerment that comes from baring witness to this transcendent work.

There will be a silent auction, food stuffs for sale, and a blanket and jacket collection for our local Gay and Lesbian Community Center to help make sure our homeless youth stay warm during the winter.

All proceeds go to V-Day foundation (helping to end violence against women and girls throughout the world) and Pittsburgh Action Against Rape (PAAR, who's mission is the respond, educate and advocate to end all sexual violence). The coats and blankets (along with any other basic toiletries you'd like to donate) will be given to the Gay and Lesbian Community Center, who's mission is to promote visibility, understanding and equality for all LGBT folks through education, social support, networking and advocacy.
