Like WIldflowers, Suddenly
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CONCERT WILL START AT 4 pm (not 3 pm as published in the BJMF brochure.)

Like Wildflowers, Suddenly is an oratorio in five movements with music by Cantor Charles Osborne and lyrics by Cantor Aryeh Finklestein, inspired by Israeli poet Yehudah Amichai's "Wild Peace." Drawing on the Bible, the Talmud, the Siddur, and contemporary poetry, Like Wildflowers reveals three stages of Jewish historybiblical, the Diaspora, and the modern State of Israel. Cantor Osborne will serve as narrator and baritone soloist, and will be joined by mezzo-soprano Lynn Torgove, and a chamber orchestra.  Part two of the concert features songs from the Yiddish theater and three cantorial gems featuring Cantor Finkelstein.

Tickets $18 and 36 in advance, $20 and 40 at the door
