Jesus -- The Teen Years
Presented by Perihelion Theater company, produced by Karyn Traut this new play by writer and director Julie Tomkovick imagines Jesus, as a teenager, with his best friend Judas, Old Testament father, Joseph, understanding mom, Mary, and --uh oh, half sister by Joseph's first wife who died young, may she rest in peace, Lilith, who he discovers is a lesbian. And now he finds out why he's been able to turn water into wine, (a teenager's delight) -- he's the Messiah. Oy! He's followed around by in inept reporter who gets all his sayings wrong, and a drug crazed visionary.
A comedy with tenderness in its heart that asks the question: What would Jesus do? We hope he'd laugh.
