The never-ending popularity of this opera may have something to do with its delicious European flavor, derived as it is from a French play (Beaumarchais), an Italian librettist (Lorenzo Da Ponte), an Austrian composer (Mozart), and is set in Spain (Seville). Weve thrown caution to the gods to facilitate the desire of our best opera singers to perform these marvelous roles in the original language. Its time to get Grand!

Long regarded as being edgy and daring, after its huge success with Opera Apocalypse in November 2008 Ken Bullock wrote in The Berkeley Daily Planet that our brand of cabaret opera is electic, professional . . and fun!
