The Happiest Tour on Earth with Eliza Skinner, Aparna Nancherla and Janine Brito
Janine Brito, Aparna Nancherla, and Eliza Skinner are all writers and correspondents for Totally Biased with W Kamau Bell (produced by Chris Rock) on FXX. They are also three of the freshest new voices in comedy, and they're doing a show for you! These irreverant stand-up comics are edgy and adorable, and their show will keep you laughing from start to finish.
JANINE BRITO is a stand up comic, and a writer and on-air correspondent on the FXX series, Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, produced by Chris Rock.
Janine started doing standup comedy in St. Louis and has performed at clubs and theaters throughout the US and Hong Kong. Praised by 7x7 Magazine as "one of SF's more daring voices" and one of "the 7 funniest people in town," she was named the 2011 "Best Comedian with a Message" by the East Bay Express. Her recent festival appearances include Sketchfest, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival and the Glasgow International Comedy Festival.
W. Kamau Bell calls her "a sarcastic, snarky smart bomb of comedy funk straight from the 80's," and the SF Weekly says she's "a mean lesbian," but she's pretty sure that they mean it in a good way.
APARNA NANCHERLA has an intimidating name, but don't be scared! She's a joke entrepreneur who pedals in both writing and performance (AKA scribble-scrabble and jibber-jabber). In fact, she currently writes for and sometimes appears on Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, Sunday through Thursday on FXX.
Aparna's comedic goggles are dry and observational, and her act is sprinkled with absurdist wit and a whimsical take on the world.
Her credits include Conan, LA Weekly's "12 Comedy Acts to Watch", Serial Optimist's "10 Comics You Must Know", Splitsider's "10 Up-and-Coming Comedians on Each Coast", 2013 New Face at the Just for Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival, the WTF Podcast with Marc Maron, the Nerdist Podcast with Chris Hardwick, Last Comic Standing, SXSW, NPR, Laughspin, Funny or Die, Reader's Digest, The Huffington Post, The Washington Post Magazine, TimeOut NY, and Slate V.
ELIZA SKINNER has written for Showtime, Xbox, and Joan Rivers' Fashion Police, and is currently a staff writer and performer on Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell on FXX, produced by Chris Rock.
She has performed all over the country including SXSW, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, and the New York Comedy Festival. She has opened for Patton Oswalt and Bobcat Goldthwait.
Eliza was a principal lead in Eugene Mirman's Comedy Central pilot, EUGENE!, and she has portrayed nasty white ladies on stage (Jem! A Truly Outrageous Parody), film (Last of the Great Romantics), and TV (TBS's Are We There Yet?). Her solo show, Eliza Skinner is: SHAMELESS ran for over a year at the Upright Citizens Brigade theater in NY and LA, and at the Comedy Central Stage in LA. She has written and directed numerous digital shorts which have quickly become viral favorites on Funny Or Die and College Humor. She is a member of the UCB LA weekend house team Diamond Lion. And once RuPaul said she was "She-larious", which was pretty dope.
