The Parlour Suite EP Release w/Communist Daughter
Minneapolis pop band, The Parlour Suite, was formed by Joel and Inga Roberts and is supported on drums by Joshua Caro. Coming off an extensive year of touring and debut SXSW performances, the band spent Summer 2013 at The Hideaway recording studio in North East Minneapolis.
The forthcoming material is influenced with dark pop vibes, an evident departure from their previous sun soaked material. The manipulation of synths and layered vocals was the perfect environment, for highly regarded producer, Grant Cutler, to step into the mix. Producing an album that has been a wave of transformation into a new phase for The Parlour Suite.
With the success of their previous releases being featured on Drop Dead Diva, The Real L Word, Minnetonka Moccasins ad campaign, soundtrack with Lionsgate Films, and more the band has set a national foundation to launch the anticpated new material.
A few years ago John Solomon walked away from music. After a long struggle with addiction and a brief stint in jail he broke up his critically acclaimed band Friends Like These and moved to a small town in Wisconsin. And supposedly that was that.
Even though Solomon left music, music never left him. After a long hiatus, he called some friends to come to Wisconsin and demo up a new album. And Communist Daughte was born.
