Can Technology Save Our Auto Industry?
Bailout or not, its clear that the USA needs to keep an auto industry, and automakers need to become a lot more competitive. To that end, Dan Preston, CEO of Medius Technologies, will discuss their role in using Bluetooth technology to create the next generation of connected cars, which are more fuel efficient, safer, and smart.
Medius was the genius behind the creation of OnStar technology for GM, and with years of working on integrated situational awareness systems originally developed for jet fighter aircraft control systems, these technologies are now being incorporated into automobile designs. The conversation with Medius will not only cover technologies behind real-time hardware in the loop (HIL) and Medius Situational Awareness Core Reference Design (SACore), but also the inside story of the industry and the current state of affairs.
