With lively exercises and humorous musical skits, Diana Leafe Christian, author of Creating a Life Together and Finding Community, and former editor of Communities magazine, helps forming community groups and existing communities learn what works, what pitfalls to avoid, and how not to reinvent the wheel. Topics include community mission & purpose, effective decision-making, dealing with conflict, creating big-city rental communities, and case studies of property purchase, financing, zoning, and legal entities for shared property ownership.
Note: Bring a dish to share with the group for our pot-luck lunch. So sorry, there are no facilities for child care. The location is easily accessible by subway and bus.
