Freshwater Theatre is excited to open our third season, fresh from our Ivey win for "Freshwater Goes Back to High School!"

"The Beacon From Belle Isle" is a world premiere blue collar fairy tale starring Michigan, written by native son J. Merrill Motz, directed by Jamil Jude.

Set then, now and probably in the future, Beacon wrestles with loss, pride, and the deterioration of Detroit with real humanity, whimsy and hope.
