The king and queen in all their finery will preside over the royal hall, laughing with the audience at the antics of the joke-telling court jester.
A traditional Madrigal Dinner is a form of dinner theater that recreates Renaissance feasts and gatherings held in 16th century England during the winter season. They are set in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, and are generally comedic in nature. Guests lucky enough to be invited into the King's halls for these dinners were treated to delicious food, great revelry, delightful humorous skits, and wonderful madrigals, carols, and instrumental music.
