The Educated Eater, the first seminar in the Greenmarket Series on Good Food and the Environment

First Presbyterian Church
New York, NY

Did you know that a chicken who lived in a tiny cage, pumped with anti-biotics and steroids, can be labeled natural? Greenmarket is sponsoring an expert panel discussion / Q&A that asks what natural really means (not much!), whether uncertified organic or beyond organic are claims you can trust (that depends), and how to navigate the proliferation of terms from cage-free to grass-fed (and who controls the language).

Sat, Nov 22nd 2:00 to 3:30
First Presbyterian Church, 12th St & 5th Avenue
$5, including New York State wine and light Greenmarket snacks

Note: Greenmarket is a 501( c )(3) non-profit Program of the Council on the Environment of New York City. Since 1976, our staff, volunteers and farmers have been working together promoting regional agriculture to preserve farmland and ensure a continuing supply of fresh, local produce for New Yorkers.
