| Description |
Join Theatre Mir in celebration of our upcoming production, The Arab-Israeli Cookbook, opening March 5th, 2009 at the Storefront Theater, 66 East Randolph Street, Chicago. Le Cordon Bleu graduate, chef Will Burgess, will provide a sampling of Middle Eastern cuisine for our guests, as well as a short presentation about the food and its cultural significance. Company members will be on hand to talk about Theatre Mir and our upcoming production. Also, you will have a chance to win the grand prize in our benefit raffle: Chef Brendan Kelly of Amuse Foods (www.amusefoods.com) will prepare a three-course meal for six guests in your own home (or another location within one hour of Chicago)! (Please see Notes below for details, restrictions, and additional prizes.)
The $10 admission includes wine, chef Burgess creations, and one chance to win a prize in our raffle. Additional entries into the raffle can be purchased at the event or right here on BPT: $5 for one additional entry, or $20 for five additional chances to win. (Cant attend our event? You can still enter our raffle by buying tickets here on BPT event attendance is not necessary to win.)
Our company is very excited to be producing the Midwest premier of The Arab-Israeli Cookbook, and we hope you will take this opportunity to learn more about the show and Theatre Mir. See you there!NOTE: No one under 10 years old will be admitted.

* Our event venue, Flourish Studios, also features a retail space where beauty and wellness products are sold. We invite you to browse their store during our event, and if you make a purchase, 10% will be donated to Theatre Mir.
* Grand prize in our raffle is a three-course dinner party for six people prepared in the winner's home (or another location within one hour of Chicago). Date is subject to chef and staff availability. Winner has until May 10, 2009 to redeem this prize. Winner will provide kitchen, serving dishes, plates, flatware and beverages.
* Other raffle prizes include (1) a Second City prize packet, including four tickets to a Second City show (dates subject to availability) and a $50 certificate to Marcellos Restaurant (www.marcellos.com); (2) a Theatre Mir prize packet, including two tickets to our production of The Arab Israeli Cookbook, a copy of the cookbook based on the recipes found in the show, and a free membership at the Chicago Green City Market (http://www.chicagogreencitymarket.org/friends_public.asp); (3) more prizes to be added!
* Raffle is being conducted by Silk Road Theatre Project to benefit Theatre Mir and Silk Road.
