Black Panther Party 47th Anniversary Celebration
The event, which will be held at the Arlene Francis Center in Santa Rosa, California, will take place on October 17th, 18th and 19th, 2013.  

The program will include photo and mixed media exhibits, film showings, workshops and guest speakers.  There will also be a vendor marketplace with items for sale such as books, memorabilia, t-shirts and custom jewelry.

The following former members of the Black Panther Party are to appear;  Bobby Seale, co-founder of the Party,
Elbert "Big Man" Howard, former BPP Deputy Minister of Information and founding member of the Party, host of the event, all 3 days, speaking Thurs 6:00pm
Guest Speaker Rickey Vincent, author, educator, KPFA radio host- will appear Thurs @ 7:30pm
Billy "X" Jennings, Black Panther Party historian and archivist - will speak on Thurs @ 8:30pm
Gail Shaw MD - Friday - former member, National Committee to Combat Fascism - will speak about the Angola Three - Fri @ 12:00pm
Dr. Tolbert Small, former coordinator of BPP Free Medical Clinics - speaking Friday @ 12:30pm
Political Prisoner Workshop-on Friday-Claude Marks, community and prison rights activist, founder of the Freedom Archives and former Political Prisoner & Manuel La Fontaine, former prisoner and activist for prison rights with All of Us or None and the Prison Hunger Strike Solidarity Coalition. Friday @ 3:00pm
Aaron Dixon-co-founder- Seattle Chapter BPP, author, 2006 Candidate for US Senate - Friday @4:00pm
Sister Sheba Haven,faculty member of the Black Panther Party Community School - will appear Sat @ 12:00pm
Meres-Sia Gabri El educator, writer - will appear Sat @ 2:30pm
Key-note speaker, Emory Douglas, renowned artist and former BPP Minister of Culture - will appear Saturday @4:30pm

Other Party members and community activists from across the nation are expected to attend.
