Bev Bos -- Exploring the Real Power of Play
While most people assume that it's the responsibility of adults to provide a play environment for children, this presentation will focus on real play, and how children, by nature's design, spontaneously engage in play. Thee workshop
format includes music, storytelling and the opportunity for participants to examine the power of real play from their own childhood and families. We will also be showing the short film, Caine's Arcade.

The presenter's firmly held conviction that real play is universal and essential to the development and well-being of children, and that there are serious consequences as the result of not playing, has led to them to ask "Have we gone too far past remembering how to play and why play is crucial to our survival as a species?"  Images of the Roseville Community Preschool environment will be included in this presentation.

Tickets are now for sale at the door!  $15 regular, Students $10.
