Vinegar Tom
Obie Award winner Caryl Churchill's 1976 collaboration with feminist theatre group Monstrous Regiment comes to the Seattle stage. Vinegar Tom unmasks societies power relationships and sexual discrimination through the examination of the 17th Century British witch trials. Theatre Machine performs Vinegar Tom with a minimalist approach Spectacle aside, Theatre Machine attemps to reinvigorate theatre by focusing simply on the actor and story. With an all female cast, they will examine themes of power relationships, sexual discrimination and gender roles still relevant to society today.
