| Description |
A Basquette Quese is a one-woman show conceived and performed by popular physical comedian Iman Lizarazu and directed by internationally acclaimed performer and director, Julie Goell.
PLOT:An anonymous gift is discovered by our Basquette Quese. Of course, she cannot resist opening the mysterious box, unleashing a world of imagination and fantasy. Through her telling of each ordinary objects petite story, we are witness to their inner magic.
STYLE: A Basquette Quese blends flash theatre; a style of telling stories without words, with circus arts, singing, dancing, magic, juggling, and physical comedy. This eccentric performance style brings the audience into a fanciful world where sound and physical movements tell a story of limitless possibilities and defy gravity.
ABOUT THE ARTIST: Iman Lizarazu is a world-class juggler, classically trained ballet dancer, mime and physical comedian. Iman has studied clowning and advanced level eccentric performance with Avner the Eccentric and Julie Goell, mime with Marcel Marceau, and is a member of Clowns without Borders. Her decades of performance experience include the Seattles Moisture Festival, the Avingon Festival in France, the European Circus Roncalli, Tandy Beal and Company as well as countless Variete Houses and Festivals throughout the world.
