VERSAILLES is a full length contemporary drama in 28 scenes with 7 characters and a single set.

Versailles opens with SHARON, a headstrong 28-year old single mom, waking up to a hard reality. Her youth gone, her beauty and power going, she is mired in a web of dead end relationships.

The men in Sharon's life are her tough, yet vulnerable, blue-collar boyfriend, BRANDON; HARMON, her not unsympathetic father who may have mistreated her as a child; and, her boss, NICK, the sleazy owner of the Golden Lady where Sharon works as a pole dancer.

BOB, a used car salesman, and BETH, his recovering alcoholic wife, have recently moved in across the street.

As Sharon's house is slowly sinking into the swamp her way of life is further compromised by her maternal obligations.

MR MASON, an old buddy of Harmon's, mysteriously surfaces...Is he the resolution to Sharon's problems?
