Ecological Design with Native Plants

Green Spaces
Brooklyn, NY

Celebrate and explore the beauty and complexity of our local floristic heritage. This two-day workshop will examine the current popularity of landscaping with native plants from an ecological perspective.  Lecture and field components will illustrate what makes a plant native, and where and how to use them.

Learn the differences between traditional and ecological landscaping methods.  Discover the benefits of native plants for wildlife, the environment, and human health.  Find out what species are native to the New York City-area and how to create a visually arresting plant palette.

Note: Fee for the two classes - lecture AND garden is $35. This is listed at the Oct 11 option. Lecture ONLY is $20, listed at Oct 8 option. If your total comes out to $55 you are paying too much!! ALSO - Don't worry about bringing your confirmation ticket. I have a list of all class participants. Thank you!
