San Francisco's Golden Years of Live Local Talent Have Returned

All of the performances are in the space that once was the home of the Blue Fox.  "Many Hollywood stars came here--Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Marilyn Monroe. " Cohen says. "We want to evoke that same glamour in this new downstairs cabaret for a new generation."  In 1997 Alfred's of North Beach, a San Francisco tradition since 1928, took over this address.  Enjoy a truly San Francisco experience!  Visitors can start with a great dinner and then descend the staircase to the show.

The club opens Saturday September 28, 2013, featuring the talented Mark Robinson in a one-man show.  The Best is Yet to Come: A tribute to Tony Bennett.  Accompaniment by one of San Francisco's finest;  Dave Austin's Trio de Swing.  Mark explains, "This show is an idiosyncratic tour through the Bennett songs that changed my musical life."

Jazz singer Mark Robinson draws his major inspiration from the Great American Songbook, and lovers of jazz and classic pop singing are drawing inspiration from Robinson' classic and authentic interpretations.  As Dan McClenaghan from All About Jazz said about Robinson's debut recording.  "Like the very best in this game--Sinatra or Tony Bennett--Robinson make it all sound effortless on this truly superb vocal jazz outing."
