Description
"Exit Sign: A Rock Opera" returns for one performance only to benefit the 2009 San Francisco Fringe Festival as part of the "Best of the Fringe." Also performing as "Best of the Fringe" are "Lost and Found in the Mission" (Friday September 26 @ 8:30pm), "Loving Fathers" (Saturday September 27 @ 6:30pm) and "The Punchline" (Saturday September 27 at 8:30pm).  Tickets are $20 for each performance and are available at Brown Paper Tickets.

"Exit Sign: A Rock Opera," rock-and-roll musical adventure by musician/playwright Carrie Baum, follows a father and daughter as they travel through time, mortality, death, and love.

The poignant story, juxtaposed against catchy ditties like I Want It and Sex and Ice Cream, will make you alternate between head-bobbing and the sniffles.  SF Weekly

Baums tunefully hard- and sweet-rocking tribute to her late father, fueled by strong voices and a dynamic four-piece band, is a blithe concoction of father-daughter affection, whimsy, and mourning.  Robert Hurwitt, SF Chronicle

NOTE: No one under 10 years old will be admitted.
