Academy of Bartending: Suppressors, An Atlanta Phenomenon
Join us as special guest bartender Miles Macquarrie from Kimball House in Decatur and the Holeman and Finch Public House bar staff collaborate to host a unique class specific to Atlanta, where apéritif cocktails weren't invented, but the Suppressor category of drinks was born. Featuring lower alcohol levels than traditional cocktails, these drinks are mellow and food-friendly, nodding to classics but elevating technique to a higher plane than ever before. With an astounding number of new vermouths, aromatized wines and boutique amaros now hitting the market, the possibilities are endless. This class will provide a primer for a trend that is sure to become a standard. Admission includes lunch and cocktail samples.
