Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society 40th Anniversary Celebration
This event includes catered appetizers at 5:00 p.m., followed by a short program to recognize the founders of the Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society and other persons who over the years helped move forward the birding and habitat conservation goals of the organization, and concludes with a presentation by Dennis Paulson on "Birds of the Wind--the Lives of Shorebirds." Shorebirds are among the most interesting of birds, with their long and complicated migrations, their great flocks, their fascinating feeding adaptations and nesting biology, and their crying need for good conservation strategies. Please join us for this profusely illustrated presentation about these charismatic birds.
This event is being held at the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribal Center's Red Cedar Room in Blyn (about 7 miles east of Sequim)overlooking the south end of Sequim Bay.
