Iron Chef Goes Coastal
Four local chefs draw knives to become two teams and then compete to win the 2013 Iron Chef Goes Coastal title. Chef's prepare a three-course dinner for the judges and one lucky bidder can win a spot to be a guest judge.
The competitors will be Chef Josh Archibald from the Wayfarer, Chef Chris Holen from Baked Alaska, Chef Aaron Bedard from the Stephanie Inn and Chef Charlie Zorch from Pickled Fish.
Attendees get to taste appetizers from 10 local restaurants and vote for their favorite in the "Peoples Choice Competition" category. The winner of the "Peoples Choice Competition" gets to come back next year and represent their restaurant in the 2014 Iron Chef competition.
Restaurants preparing appetizers are Astoria Coffee House, Clemente's, Bridgewater Bistro, Aloha Charlies Fish Co., Wet Dog Cafe', Twisted Fish, Maggie's On The Prom, Fulio's and The Shelburn Inn.
Did I mention Dessert? There will be tasty treats from Baked Alaska, Stephanie Inn, Astoria Golf and Country Club, 3 Cups, Cannon Beach Christian Conference Center and the Picnic Basket. They will be bringing their best desserts for you to taste and vote on. To wash all the good food down you can order a beer or have a glass of wine. Alcohol not your thing, we have soft drinks and water too. There is also a silent auction!
