Short Stack Strawberries Bookbinding Party
Short Stack is a series of small-format cookbooks about inspiring ingredients, authored by America's top culinary talents. Each edition is a 50-page book packed with recipes that offer ingenious new ways to cook our favorite ingredients. Our first three volumes feature three excellent authors: Ian Knauer, Susan Spungen and Soa Davies. Between them they have worked on five cookbooks, five movies, two television shows and have bylines at Food & Wine, Bon App├ętit, Gourmet, Martha Stewart Living, Wall Street Journal, Men's Health and more.

Short Stack is also a contemporary offering of old-school craftsmanship: Each book is printed locally on the highest-quality paper stock and stitch-bound by hand using baker's twine. Our production process is intimate and specialized, and we're also inviting our readers to join in the fun at bookmaking gatherings that we'll host for each edition. Earlier this summer we raised more than $90,000 towards the launch of this new publication via Kickstarter [http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/854074185/short-stack-editions-vol-1-3], and now our books are printed and ready to bind.

This bookbinding party will feature Susan Spungen, renowned food writer, cookbook author and the founding editorial director for food and entertaining at Martha Stewart Living until 2003. Susan will prepare some of the recipes from her Strawberries book and mingle with guest while talking about the project. Attendees will learn how to stitch their own book during the party. Our goal is to bind between 100 and 200 books per party.

After the event we will share photos and stories via our Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds, as well as on ShortStackEditions.com
