Description
EarthDance, a new Ferguson-based non-profit organization still in its seed form, invites you to their first Pesto Festo! Along with Live Well Ferguson and The Open Space Council, we invite you to celebrate the harvest with us and honor the work of farmers from around the region.

The Pesto Festo! Harvest Celebration will include live music by The Buckhannon Brothers & The Grass Pack, a local foods feast featuring vegetarian Mediterranean dishes prepared by several of St. Louis' best chefs, a silent auction featuring local art and eco goods, and an Inner Mission Productions film telling the story of the Mueller Farm. Caroline (and the late Al) Mueller will be honored at this event with a special recognition ceremony and tribute for keeping their family farm in production and for their organic farming practices for over 60 years!

Tickets - $25 in advance, $30 at the door
(Tickets are also available for purchase at Thyme Table Cafe & at the Ferguson Farmers Market.)

In collaboration with St. Louis Earth Day, this will be the FIRST ZERO WASTE event! We'll be recycling all beverage containers, paper and cardboard, composting all food scraps, using only biodegradable or reusable decorations, AND Ameren UE's Pure Power is donating Missouri wind energy credits to offset the energy used at the venue during the event! Please carpool to the event!

The mission of EarthDance is to grow and inspire local FARMS - Food, Art, Relationships, and Music, Sustainably! In 2009 EarthDance will be launching its Freshman Farmies program - a part-time organic farming apprenticeship on the historic Mueller Farm in Ferguson! We will also be hosting several Open Space: Open Studio sessions throughout the year, inviting artists and musicians to create their art on the farm.

This event is co-hosted by Live Well Ferguson & The Open Space Council.

Thanks to our sponsors: Thyme Table Cafe, Savoy, Sportsprint, Schlafly, The Healthy Planet, StLouisGreen.com, Ameren UE Pure Power, and St.Louis Earth Day!

If you would like to donate an item for our silent auction, please contact Colleen Wilson at colleen-wilson@sbcglobal.net. The focus of our auction is eco goods and services, food and dining, and artistic creations.

Notes
Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions (i.e. vegan, allergies) and we will be happy to accommodate. All dishes will be vegetarian.
Savoy Banquet Center is a non-smoking venue.
