Field to Loaf: Workshop on NY Grain Supply Chain & Benefit for Cayuga Pure Organics
NYS used to have dozens of grain producers, now there is just one major supplier, Cayuga Pure Organics (CPO).  CPO is a small farm near Ithaca, New York with a big impact on the regional food system.  At the end of May 2013, a devastating fire destroyed the barn that contained CPO's equipment and inventory

Help CPO rebuild after its fire and we will help you understand why that's important!

Workshop: "NY Grain Supply Chain 101" - Come learn from Farmer Erick Smith and esteemed experts about the important role played by Cayuga Pure Organics, the only major supplier of locally-grown organic dried bean dry beans and grains, including several heirloom varieties.  Invited Presenters include:
-- Chef Daniel Humm, Restauranteur, Eleven Madison Park and NoMAD
-- Robert "Bob" Lewis, Food Policy Analyst,  Greenmarkets & NYC Food Systems Network
-- Olivia Blanchflower, Distributor, Greenmarket Co.
-- Jessamyn Rodriguez, Processor, Hot Bread Kitchen
-- Derek Denckla, Food Investor, Slow Money NYC & Denckla Projects
-- Indrani Sen, Moderator, Freelance Journalist and Contributor to Edible Brooklyn/Manhattan
CPO truly occupies a unique position in the food system and plays a key role in the movement to rebuild our food system on a local, sustainable basis.
