Find Your Light: Lighting for Improv w/ Tara McDonough
Find Your Light: Lighting for Improv w/ Tara McDonough of Un-Scripted Theater May 13th
12-2pm
A general overview. Including talking briefly about how the lights work and how to change a lamp. Go over the board, general booth stuff, a bit more "theatrical" theory, and a tiny side trip about pre- and post-show stuff. Most of the workshop will be hands on practice-- people take turns being in scenes and watching from the booth, starting and ending scenes. At first it's just straight beginnings and endings, we will move into how to pimp your lightician and how to respond to being pimped (flipping "lightswitches," talking about moonlight or weather conditions, etc.)
Taught by Tara McDonough of Un-Scripted Theater. Tara as been a lighting improver for several years working with such groups as True Fiction Magazine, 3 for All, Star Trekking and How we first Met.
It will be held at Off Market Theater 965 Mission Suite 205 (Near 5th and Mission Parking and Powell) May 13th from 12-2pm
The class is $50 per student. $40 - Various Discounts There is a space limit of 12.
