Hawaii Shakespeare Festival: Timon of Athens
Timon opens his house and his coffers to his friends, but when the well runs dry, who will return his favors?
Shakespeare based the character of Timon on a historical figure, a noted misanthropist, and asked himself what could cause someone to turn his back on all mankind?
This production, in a Hawaii Shakespeare Festival first, uses gender-blind casting.
Starring Shawn A. Thomsen as Timon, Stephanie Keiko Kong as Alcibiades, Joe Abraham as Apemantus, and Victoria Brown-Wilson as Flavius.
