| Description |
| Education expert Tony Wagner (Harvard Graduate School of Education) has conducted scores of interviews with business leaders and observed hundreds of classes in some of the national's most highly regarded public schools. He blasts 'No Child Left Behind' for forcing schools to teach to multiple choice tests and concludes that even "good" high schools are not teaching students the skillscritical thinking and problem solvingneeded to enter the work force in a global economy. Wagner provides examples of dramatically different schools that teach all students new skills and explains how every American can work to overhaul our education system. Presented by the Town Hall Center for Civic Life, with Elliott Bay Book Company. |
