Amador County Poetry Out Loud
Enjoy a free evening of Poetry with competitors from Amador, Argonaut, and Independence High Schools. Featuring Amador County Poet Laureate. Light refreshments will be served.
Poetry Out Loud is a national competition curriculum where students choose poems from an anthology of significant poetic works spanning the ages. The winner will go on to compete at the state level (all expenses paid), where they may be awarded cash prizes and money for their schools. The state winner and their chaperone are sent on to compete nationally in Washington DC.
