3rd Annual Boston Tour de Hives
The 3rd Annual Boston Tour de Hives will engage, educate and enchant you with a first-hand look at honeybees in hives across the city, and will be guided by the humans who tend them. Downtown Boston, the South End & Fenway Victory Gardens will all be stops on this year's tour, which you will visit by bike (or other means of transport if you prefer). Join us for one stop or the whole day!

SCHEDULE:
9:30am: Gather at Boston Common (near Park Street T station at Park and Tremont St)
      - hand out shirts, do icebreakers - snacks provided
10:15am: Commence the Tour

10:30am: Swarm arrives at Fairmount Hotel Copley, rooftop beekeeping

11:30am: Swarm  leaves Copley

11:45am: Swarm arrives at Best Bees Urban Beekeeping lab (the first of its kind in the world!) where founder & Best Bees Co. President, Dr. Noah Wilson-Rich, will give a 30 minute talk

12:30pm - 3:00pm: Fenway Victory Gardens teaching apiary: Dean and Ramona on queen rearing, Mario d'Amato on community outreach; beehive openings.

A simple lunch will be provided.

Please join us for any or all of the tour that interests you. Biking is encouraged but not required (please bring your helmet, water bottle & sense of wonder).

Don't have a bike? No problem! Rent one from Urban AdvenTours at a discounted price of $20 when you mention Tour de Hives. It can be picked up at 9am and dropped off anytime before 7pm. UA is located at 103 Atlantic Ave  Boston, MA 02110.

Suggested contribution of $10 covers a grab & go lunch, snacks AND an event T-shirt (eco-friendly & hand-printed by a local artist). Preregister today if you want to be sure to get a shirt!  If need bee, you may register on the day-of at Boston Common (9:30am at Park St. & Tremont St.). No one will bee denied TdH access/enjoyment for lack of funds. Any proceeds raised will bee reinvested in education & outreach initiatives by the Greater Boston Beekeepers community.
