Pasta and Parks before The Big Q

Join us at our newest local park, Taylor Mountain Regional Park and Open Space Preserve, for a fun-filled picnic and celebration.

As the summer sun sets over a glorious view of Santa Rosa, enjoy:
-- A delicious pasta dinner donated by the beloved Pasta King
-- Foot-stompin' music by the popular band Cahoots (featured at last year's PastaPalooza)
-- An inspiring update about plans for Taylor Mountain from Regional Parks Director Caryl Hart
-- Barefoot Wine and Lagunitas beer
-- Children's activities with the Children's Museum of Sonoma County.

VIP tables for 8 are available. They include
-- Tableside seating with linens
-- Guided hike of trails not yet open to the public, led by naturalist Peter Leveque, historian Katherine Rinehart and others
-- Gift bag, including the new Parks Foundation t-shirt and tickets to the upcoming Water Bark event, which allows dogs to swim in the Spring Lake Swimming Lagoon.

Lawn seating is available for individual ticketholders. Please feel free to bring your own picnic blanket or folding chairs. Children welcome.

Individual ticket holders also may choose to purchase single VIP tickets for $60 each.

A fantastic live auction includes a private aerial tour of Sonoma County, an immense collection of Grateful Dead memorabilia, a mixed case of award-winning Selby wines and private tasting, a private outing on Lake Sonoma with a home-cooked paella dinner, and an overnight and behind-the-scenes tour at Safari West. Equally awesome raffle prizes (spa treatments, restaurant certificates, a handmade quilt, gardening packages and more) will be available.

Get your tickets early -- last year's event sold out. Tickets at the door, if available, will increase in price to $40 for adults and $20 for children.

Pasta and Parks before The Big Q is the prelude to the Wine Country Big Q, a nationally sanctioned BBQ competition held at Sonoma Academy on Saturday, July 13. The Big Q, where you can sample authentic barbecue, is open to the public. For information, visit www.winecountrybigq.com.
