| Description |
 The 3rd Annual Awards Banquet of Stonewall Democrats of San Antonio will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the El Tropicano Riverwalk Hotel, 110 Lexington, in downtown San Antonio, Texas. A cocktail hour will be held in the pool area of the hotel from 6-7 pm followed by the banquet in the Romeo and Juliet Banquet Room beginning at 7 pm and ending at 10 pm. Cash bar. Dinner will be served followed by a dinner program including a prominent politician as guest speaker and presentation of three awards. This year's keynote speaker is Justice Linda Yanez, a candidate for the Texas Supreme Court- Seat 8. Additional guest speaker is openly lesbian Houston City Controller Annise Parker. Entertainment by Azul Barrientos. Tickets are $75 if purchased before August 31. After August 31, tickets are $90. The theme for this year's banquet is "Bridge to Victory '08".
