Social critic, historian, and writer Zinn has written more than 20 books and was a professor emeritus at Boston University.

Zinn's 1980 book A People's History of the United States is a national bestseller, and his latest project A People's History of American Empire is described by one website as a "rollicking graphic history, illustrated by cartoonist Mike Konopacki that that takes us from the Indian Wars to the Iraqi "frontier" (with some striking autobiographical asides from Zinn's own life)."
Spare Change is delighted by Zinn's support on behalf of the homeless.
