Description
Howard Zinn will give a talk on behalf of Spare Change News on June 24 at 7:30 p.m. at the Old South Church in Boston. All proceeds from the event will benefit Spare Change News, the homelessness newspaper in the Boston area.

Zinn's talk will be topic of "What a Great Society Looks Like." Social critic, historian, and writer Zinn has written more than 20 books and was a professor emeritus at Boston University.

Tickets for the event will be income-sensitive. Admission will be available for $25, $20 and $10.  We encourage you to pay what you can.  TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR.

Zinn's 1980 book A People's History of the United States is a national bestseller, and his latest project A People's History of American Empire is described by one website as a "rollicking graphic history, illustrated by cartoonist Mike Konopacki that that takes us from the Indian Wars to the Iraqi "frontier" (with some striking autobiographical asides from Zinn's own life)."

Spare Change is delighted by Zinn's support on behalf of the homeless.

For more information on the event, please contact Emily Johnson (above).
