Kate Mathews, mezzo-soprano: Art Songs Inspired by Emily Dickinson

On Sunday, April 14th at 11a.m., mezzo-soprano Kate Mathews will give a recital of "Art Song Inspired by Emily Dickinson." The program will include the well-known Twelve Poems of Emily Dickinson by Aaron Copland as well as works by Lori Laitman, Gordon Getty, and Ernst Bacon. Poet Beth Lechleitner will join to discuss Dickinson's works and to read some of the poems from the settings featured on the recital. Pianist Mai-Linh Pham will assist at the piano. The concert will be held in the Osher Salon at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and admission is free.
