Strategies and Solutions - A Symposium for the Epidemic of CAD in South Asians
We are oversubscribed for this event. There is now an admission fee of $95.00. Pre-registration is required. The fee for walk-ins at the event on Saturday is $125.00.
South Asian Heart Center hosts its 2nd annual symposium for physicians and health-care providers. The symposium focuses on the issues around this epidemic, and provides practical solutions to physicians and health-care professionals to diagnose, treat and care for their South Asian patients.
The objectives of the symposium are:
-Metabolic and behavioral risk factors underlying the epidemiology of CAD in South Asians.
-Screening recommendations and practical clinical implications of using advanced
screening techniques in designing treatment plans for high risk for CAD patients.
-The potential benefit and limitations of non-invasive screening for atherosclerosis:
Beyond risk factor identification.
-The potential of genomic medicine in identifying patients at risk.
