The Spotlight Comedy Show
The Spotlight Comedy Show presents some of the newest comics in the Seattle region together on one special night. The show will feature a closing set from one of Seattle's favorite rising comics, Monica Nevi.
Monica was selected for the 2012 Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Monica has opened for Maria Bamford and continues to impress folks wherever she performs.
Also featuring:
Daniel O'Connell has been saying humorous things at crowds of strangers for nearly two years, and has enjoyed every minute of it. He's genuinely enthusiastic about most things in life, and he does his best to portray this while on stage. Starting his career in Sacramento, he spent a year and a half earning his stripes in shows across northern California and the bay area. He recently moved to Seattle and has enjoyed making crowds laugh with his (seemingly at odds) dark opinions and likability on stage
Darrin Chase is an up-and-coming comic, born and raised in the mid west with a touch of southern hospitality. His style has been described as offensive, amateur, inspiring, and easily forgettable. Darrin started comedy in September of 2012 and before that dabbled as a part time professional wrestler. Currently by day, Darrin is a medicinal marijuana delivery driver in the Seattle area. Some of his influences include Mitch Hedberg, Greg Giraldo, Joe Rogan, Joey Diaz, Martha Stewart, Chevy Chase, Shane Helms, Homer Simpson, George Carlin, and Cher.
Zach Mandeville has been performing standup along the I-5 for right around a year. A rising starlet of the Olympia Comedy scene, when he's not performing comedy, Zach can be found working customer support, barbering, playing banjo, watching Korean Dramas, and trying to forget the past.
Danielle K.L. Gregoire is a recent transplant to Seattle from Canada. She spent ten years doing spoken word poetry as preparation for stand up. Do not google her for you will find only poetry. Danielle also runs the Comedy Womb, a female focused but not female exclusive comedy open mic/showcase in the Rendezvous's Grotto every Tuesday night.
Shannon Koyano-Vieg was born and raised on Capitol Hill and graduated from evergreen State College. She is not a hippie despite that. After flourishing in college and a promising future in the education field, she decided to throw it all away and follow her heart instead. She started doing stand up in 2012 and is loving every grueling minute of it. She also co-hosts a radio program called Morgan's Martini Hour which is another great love in her life, and another outlet for her to make people laugh. She currently resides with her family in South Seattle aka the "hood," where the hipsters of Capitol Hill are nowhere to be found, and she likes that.
Tyler Schnupp is a Seattle based comedian who makes an honest living being the worlds most mediocre prep-cook. He dropped out of music to pursue comedy, and regrettably lives with nine other people in a tiny apartment.
