Tickets $13 advance, $18 day of show; available at the Paradise Theater and KVNF Community Radio and online at www.paradiseofpaonia.com
The Paradise Theater in Paonia is honoring Earth Day with the magic of cinema. Year around and world wide, Telluride Mountainfilm Festival takes their show to the road with Mountainfilm on Tour. Recognized as one of the longest running festivals in America, the tour programs offer a broad variety of full-feature and short films on extreme adventures, environmental and social issues. Returning to Paonia after a brief hiatus, we've hand-picked a selection of films including Living Downstream about biologist & activist Sandra Steingraber's journey to link public health with environmental waste, Industrial Revolutions, featuring trick cyclist Danny MacAskill from Scotland, and Among Giants, about a determined tree squatter's commitment to save old-growth Redwood Forests in Northern California as well as several other films on extreme skiing, biking, climbing and humble living. These films promise to be visually spectacular as well as inspiring! We are happy to present two screenings of these films not to be missed on the big screen, Sunday, April 21st (3:00pm and 7:00pm). Tickets are available in advance at KVNF Community Radio and The Paradise Theatre in Paonia as well as online at www.paradiseofpaoina.com. Be inspired! We'll see you there.
