A limited number of tickets are available at the door. Call 794-1400 to confirm or just show up! This election may well be the most crucial one of our lifetimes. We are a small Seattle group that is raising money for MoveOnPac's $50 million campaign to take back the White House, elect new progressive leaders, and prove that progressive values are a force to be reckoned with. We call ourselves "More Ants Than Elephants" in honor of the proverbial ants who, together, move a mountain, one grain at a time. We are determined to turn our country around. Our philosophy is "Do what you can," and each of us is contributing whatever talents, energy, and scraps of time we have available to make a change. We invite you to join us! To donate to the auction or volunteer for any of our events, please contact Valerie Tarico at valerietarico@hotmail.com. To receive notices of our future events by joining our mailing list: please send email to lists@xenops.com with "subscribe antpower-news" as the subject line. Thanks! More Ants Than Elephants

Come enjoy an evening with the comedic genius of Matt Smith in his latest work "My Move to Bainbridge Island" wherein a man's connection with his home town makes the idea of moving captivatingly unbearable.

Here is what the critics have to say about Matt Smith's other pieces:

"Smith's may be the only solo act I can remember in which I felt that the performer didn't care what was thought of him as long as the stories got through. I can pay no higher compliment to both writer and performer."
--Time Out - New York

"There's no denying the truth in his observations about love, sex, culture shock, and particular passages... demonstrate that his mastery of comic delivery is unsurpassed."
--The Seattle Weekly

Opening for Matt are two other performance artists, Thomas Arthur and Joe Guppy.

Joe and the fictional group, Up with the Pie, will perform "Make the Pie Higher," a satirical, musical rendition of a "poem" that was "written" by George W. Bush.  It is composed of actual statements the President made, including the title phrase, edited together by a Washington Post writer.  This musical rendition, includes all the lyrics, plus a spoken word satire at the end about the economic and "tax reform" policies of the Bush Administration.

Thomas Arthur will treat us to a sampling of his choreographed juggling routines set to the original music of Paul Ely Smith. If you are wondering what you're in for, check out his beautiful work at thomasarthur.net.

"Arthur is to juggling what Richard Feynman is to physics--a master with a skewed point of view and a great sense of theater."

Sandra Kurtz, Seattle Weekly
