Join the Sound Experience crew, staff, Board of Directors and incredible community surrounding the beloved historic schooner Adventuress as we celebrate her 95th birthday - the last great milestone birthday before her centennial!

On Thursday, July 3 at 7:00PM, we will board the Royal Argosy for a festive birthday dinner cruise on opening day of the 2008 Tacoma Tall Ships Festival. As we wine, dine & celebrate aboard the elegant Royal Argosy, we'll cruise by our magnificent Adventuress and the impressive fleet of Tall Ships docked at the Thea Foss Waterway, including the USCG Eagle (see www.tallshipstacoma.com for a list of visiting ships).

In 1913, Adventuress set sail on her maiden voyage through the Straits of Magellan and up to the Arctic to hunt (unsuccessfully) for a bowhead whale specimen for Chicago's American Museum of Natural History. Nearly 100 years later, Adventuress sails as Puget Sound's environmental Tall Ship offering unique and powerful youth development and leadership opportunities - and inspiring all to care for our precious and fragile marine environment.

Note: All ages welcome! Cost includes a buffet dinner (including both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes), and 2 wine and/or beer tickets, and birthday cake - as well as great company. Beer generously provided by the Port Townsend Brewing Company.
