Description
The first conference on the Supreme Court of California will be held by UC Berkeley School of Law, Boalt Hall on Friday, November 14, 2008 from 9:00 am to 6:15 pm at the Clark Kerr Conference Center, UC Berkeley.

This Conference will provide a unique forum for judges, government officials, scholars, and the bar to discuss the work of the Court and to more about legal issues impacting the judicial system in California.

The proceedings will address the following issues:

-Review of Supreme Court of California's 2007-08 Term
-The Death Penalty and the Appellate Process
-Arbitration and Private Judging
-Access to Justice in Family Court

Notes
Registration Fee Structure:

* Corporate - $275 per attendee ($282.87 w/service fee)

* Government/Sole Practitioner/Non-Profit - $175  per attendee ($180.36 w/service fee)

* Students - $75 ($77.87 w/service fee): This special rate DOES NOT INCLUDE DINNER & PARKING


Conference registration is exclusively online.

Cancellation policy: In the event you are unable to attend the conference a replacement attendee may be sent in your place. Should you wish to cancel your registration we will refund your registration fee less an administrative fee of $50 per registered attendee, provided we receive the cancellation by email at dgandhi@law.berkeley.edu

Cancellations received after October 30, 2008 will result in no refund.  Conference materials will be sent after the event.

All approved refunds will be processed one month after the Conference.
